Ouch...
So, I went to the dentist and the money was just flying out of my pockets! It was the most amazing thing I've ever seen... and one of the most frustrating. I'm half way considering getting a part time job so that we can pay this off. Does anyone know of any LEGIT at home business opportunities? I don't want the trolls to come out of the wood work here... this is going to be a pretty serious financial burden. Add on top of that the fact that Hubby's truck needs new tires and our insurance just informed us that Little Bug doesn't have a medical need for speech therapy. I am one frazzled girl. I don't know how we are going to make this all work unless I bring in a little extra income. Why is it that every time I get our savings built up a little, something comes along and decimates it plus some! It's so frustrating. Sorry...
On the bright side, I'm gonna have a pretty darn fine set of teeth when all is said and done!
But seriously, any ideas to bring in some extra cash??

i really don't. i've had friends who have done some kind of data entry at home, but i'm not in contact with them anymore.

i'm thinking of getting a job outside the home. i can because my kids are grown and my son will be leaving for college this summer. it will give me something to do and help pay for college. but i haven't had a job in so long... it's kinda scary.

So sorry!

I had a dentist appointment today but I accidentally slept through it - I feel soooo bad!

The usual suggestions are things like Mary Kay, Discovery Toys, Tupperware, etc...you have to be a go getter to make those work though.

Babysitting/day care, if you're willing to sacrifice your sanity.

I suggest making and selling things like those cute little tote bags you made (I loooove mine and use it all the time!). Find a local craft fair/weekly flea market where you can hock your wares maybe?

No real suggestions, hon. Or I'd be doing them myself!!!

How about ads on the blog for a bit of money?

I was about to say I like your new design. Oh dear me. I have no idea for any legitimate money making schemes from home [only wish I did] There again, your web page design skills look pretty darned good to me, although I have no idea how you'd even start something like that.
BEst wishes

I have nothing productive to add. I'm sorry. Just pay tithing, in faith. Goofy answer, eh? I know. But it's true.

Just want you to know that I'm prayin' for you, hoping that things will work out.

I know what it's like to nearly take out a 2nd mortgage just to cover dental bills. It sucks!

And the insurance company and Little Bug... well, that just makes me angry.

Anyway. One things for darn sure, you're not paying me anything for those silly Jane Austen DVD's. Please just email me your address so that I can send them to you, FOC.

I wish I could help. I haven't been to the dentist, nor have I taken my children since we moved to Idaho 3 YEARS AGO! We don't have dental insurance. I'm afraid of what it's going to cost when we do finally get there.

I was going to say website development, too.
So sorry!

I'm so sorry. Medical care (including dental) can be so darn expensive. Oy!

The things that come to mind are Avon, Tupperware, Pampered Chef and things like that but it would take to much of your time I think.

Hmmm, I'll keep thinking on it.

I am so sorry, Melissa. I would fight the insurance company about Little Bug needing speech therapy.

How about the blog ads???

Your new layout is super cute! I am in the same boat with you, what can you do at home that does't take up way to much time? My SIL just started Mary Kay 9 months ago and is one month away from her first car!

If you ever decide to rob a bank, I know a few people I could set you up with. OR I knew a couple of girls in Vegas who could help you set up your on in-home "dancing" business. OOOR...what about setting up your own call-in psychic service?

No, really, I've got nothing. I am absolutely mystified by money. Where does it come from? Where does it go? And if it doesn't grow on trees, why is there a business called "Money Tree?"

I say do blog ads.
I'll still come.
Tori made 75 bucks in one day from them.
Of course, tithing, coupled with prayer and fasting works too.
Remember my teeth story? That's the blessing that came from that.
Heavenly Father knows your needs. You have to ask though, even if you don't think whatever you're asking for is necessary. Let Him decide. ;)

Do you have an LDS bookstore you could sell your bags at?

I wish I had some ideas for you...I really do feel for you! Financial burdens are a difficult issue. Heavenly Father will help you get through.

This is how I started throwing newspapers in the middle of the night. We wanted to pay bills but not have to find daycare. Voila!

My Melody and my son, Logan both got accepted into speech therapy at school yesterday. I don't think we could afford private therapy especially since we have zero health insurance.

I'd love to discover something to do at home as well.

Let me know if a great idea comes your way.
