Negative Vibes
Okay, so I blogged this morning and then reread it and thought "WOW! You are one sour spirit today!" Trust me. If you had read it, it would have made your mouth pucker! That's how acetic it was! (think Warhead candies) Anyway, I'm trying this again. I have to admit, I'm stressing and struggling, but that's not how my life is in general. So, I'm not going to blog about it. (Although, if any of you have any experience with sensory issues in nonverbal kids, I'd love to chat/email). Instead, I'm going to blog about Harry Potter. That seems like a natural transition, don't you think? You see, I just finished books five and six again (yes, I read them all in January). I wanted to read the last two books one more time before the next book comes out. I wanted to take my time. Look at details. Try to find clues. Absorb as much information as possible. Yeah right. I started on Friday and was done with #5 by Sunday and I finished book #6 yesterday. Why? Why do I do this? I have come up with two possible conclusions to why I can't put these books down:
1 - I'm crazy. This is a really good possibility. Everyone knows I'm just a tad mental. I just get a tad obsessed about it.
2 - The books are just darn good! J.K. Rowling is a fabulous author. I love books that make you fall in love with the characters. You want what is best for them. You hope they are okay (in a slightly deranged sort of way... because, you know, they are fictional).
Conclusion: it's a combination of 1 and 2... which makes 12. So, I guess what you'd have to say is that I'm crazy about these books! I can't wait for the last one to come out! In fact, I'm so excited, that if you'll take a quick look in the sidebar you'll see a Harry Potter countdown. Insane? Bonkers? Wacky? Nuts? Yep. Crazy about Harry Potter.

OKay now I'm feeling the need to re-read at least the last two to refresh!
Can't wait either. The Husband and I love to fight over the one book we buy each time.

hi melissa: obsessions about reading are good things. look, you could have an obsession about a really bad habit like drugs, so be real glad that ain't you! good for you for reading and filling your mind with words instead of nothing-ness.

thanks for emailing me! got it finally. don't know why it wasn't working for you before tonight. i emailed you back.

I, too, LOVE the Harry Potter books and practically inhale them I read them so fast. Maybe I should read the last two again before the last one comes out, too. I have a child with sensory issues, but she is not nonverbal. I actually was diagnosed with sensory integration issues, too a few years ago. I totally get those awful days...you're better than me, though. I actually do blog about them and that's probably why I don't keep my readers around very long. :-) Hope you don't mind my long comment...
