Long Weekend
I think we might be one of the only families in our neighborhood that are still around. Everyone else is at the beach or in the mountains. School starts on Tuesday, so they have to take advantage of this last vacation time. We, on the other hand, are just lying around. Doing nothing. I doubt we will BBQ or anything this weekend. I would like to get some organizing done, but really, I doubt it will happen. At least, not today. Maybe on Monday. Right now, it's time for being lazy. The kids are watching a movie, hubby is reading the 6th Harry Potter book, and I... well, I'm spending way too much time on the computer. It's kinda nice...

Hi, I'm new to your blog. I couldn't agree more. Long weekends are the best. I was at the farmers market today and it had way less people than normal. Sometimes, it's nice to stay when everyone else goes.

Sounds familiar! Rachel is watching Toy Story 2 while I'm browsing on the web and DH is having a guys night out tonight. We dont' have any plans for Monday either. We don't have a BBQ cuz we live in an apartment so we'll probably just have pancakes or something easy on Monday. I do love those kinds of days though! have a great lazy weekend!

I LOVE being home on long weekends--all the other crazy people can fight the traffic and the crowds. Enjoy the peace and quiet ; )

tonya - hi! Welcome to the craziness I call home :)

tracey- empty weekends are nice... although, I'm hoping Monday will be productive... but if it's not, oh well!

mcewen - I said a SHORT break... as in 2 days. Not quite 2 days. I was going to break for as long as it took Little Bug to get used to the new sandals. In the past, it's usually been a week. This time, one day. I am so pleased!

jamie - we just kicked back most of the day. I did have to go get groceries... I was hoping that everyone was out of town... unfortunately, everyone was still buying supplies to go out of town... :S It was VERY busy...

yvonne - I never understood the draw of going camping on one of the busiest camping weekends of the year. So, I agree with you... I'll stay home where it's quiet. Then we'll go out on a less busy weekend!
