I Yell At Everything
I noticed something rather odd about myself today. I talk to everything - including inanimate objects.
This morning I dropped a plastic bowl and "shhhh"-ed it.
The other day I spilled some water and I yelled "NO! STOP!" I don’t know why. Maybe I thought the water might feel badly about making such a mess and quit flowing all over the floor.
I slammed my finger in the door and said, "Stupid door!" as if it had closed itself ON PURPOSE, instead of ME being the stupid one in this instance.
I was folding laundry and a pair of socks rolled away from me... to which I instantly proclaimed "Get back here!" Because, ya know, socks do that. They come when called.
I think I have a problem. Does anyone else do this? Or is it just me?

I mostly do the wordless scream of frustration. "Argh!" and "Augh!"

My kids think I'm being a pirate sometimes.

I may yell out, but I rarely yell at the inanimate objects, as though they hear me. I think you need a margarita and a vacation.

No, I do it too. I always thought it was the norm! Not the exception. ;)

You and me, baby, we're 'normal.' (ha, ha!)

Ugh! Why can I never remember to put it in the same comment!!!

Love the new look! As always. ;)

In my personal psychoanalysis, I think it is a manifestation of a good day, because I only do that when I feel confident enough that I can command all things in my presence with a mere word and naturally they should obey. I think you are totally normal. Or we are the same brand of crazy.

My kids tell me I mouth conversations with inanimate objects. Is that better than yelling at them??

I regularly have convrsations with myself. Especially when sewing. That's when I'm the worst!

I'm in the club, too. My kids often ask what I am talking to.

talking to yourself keeps yourself sane. try to imagine life without doing it :]

Hahahah! That is funny. Wanna hear something even funnier? If I hit my backpack (for example) against a door way I say "ouch" even though it didn't hurt me. hahah!

er...um...I'm wondering if I should just say that I do it too, so you don't feel bad.
I'll get back to you on that.

Oh no, you are not alone. I do that A LOT. They say you should only worry when the things start talking back to you :)

I don't think I do it a lot, but I do have to "try out" anything I'mm thinking of buying ex- I have to pretend use it, like if it's a spatula I have to practice flipping it in the store, people stare
