Have you ever...
...talked to someone on the phone who made you feel stupid?
...cried about feeling so stupid?
...made a new blog template to make yourself feel better?
...stayed up till midnight with a child that just couldn't seem to fall asleep?
...been woken up the next morning by your kids playing Littlest Pet/ Winnie the Pooh war?
...tried to wake up your sleepless child by opening blinds, taking blankets and general noise so that they won't repeat the midnight bedtime?
...been annoyed by everything just because you're tired?
...been insanely jealous that your husband gets to leave the house and go to work?
...made a list on your blog hoping that someone, somewhere will be able to relate with you, and in turn make you feel a little less crazy?

Yes to #1, #2, #4; #7; #9--I wish I could write more about some of the things that truly annoy me, and feel like I'm not the only one that feels that way

#3 wish I could make a new blog--so back to #2.

Being tired affects us soooooooooo much. I hope you can get a nap today. Looks like your parents are coming in a few days--look forward to that.

Tiredness turns me into a mean person!

Yes to #1 and #2 and then I get mad at myself because supposedly/allegedly no one can make you feel anything. You allow them to make you feel that way. WHATEVER!! No to #3 because I haven't figured that one out yet. Yvonne and I need a class. Yes to #4, No to #5, Yes to #6, HECK Yes to #7, No to #8 I am the opposite, I wake up and get jealous that I have to go to work when I would rather stay home (the whole grass is always greener syndrome) and Yes to #9 which always helps a lot :o)

Oh yes, yes, yes. I am constantly feeling like an idiot whether someone is talking to me on the phone or not. Sometimes it's just a face-to-face interaction, and as I'm driving away I think about it too much, over-analyze it, then end up in the closet, in the dark, eating chocolate and snarling at anyone who tried to talk to me. (A new template is much more productive than that, if you ask me.)

In general, I just avoid the phone.

And yes to the rest, too, while we're at it.

I'm so sorry you had a bummer phone conversation! I think I spend so much of my life feeling stupid that it hardly even affects my mood anymore. I hope you don't get to that point!

I can totally relate.
Okay, not to the Littlest Pet/Winnie the Pooh war, but everything else.
Well, maybe not been insanely jealous of my husband, but everything else? Yes.
Well, almost everything.
Just trying to relate.
:)

Yes! You will get through it! My oldest tells me...."you know when your day is really crumby....it is to remind yourself you need to work extra hard." I don't know where he picked that up....maybe I told him, in a sleep deprived state...eat some chocolate.....then eat some chocolate.....followed by, you know...a pepsi.

You're not crazy, your normal. I'll get that chocolate in the mail as soon as I can! It always helps! ;)

Babe, you're a whole lot not crazy. Or, if you are, you're in good company. I've had that exact same day. Seriously. Twins separated at birth.

Sorry to hear you are having a bummer day, if it makes you feel better, my hubby left yesterday morning for a week long trip to WA and I've already hit the wall several times wishing I could go away for a week long business trip. One of these days I need a lesson on how to change my blog, it seems every time i visit you you've done a facelift!

you're not crazy. you're normal and all moms can relate. i remember feeling like i, too, was going crazy when my kids were young and my world revolved around them. and, oh, was i ever jealous of my husband.

i think doing something creative, like changing your blog template, is a great way to ward off the craziness.
