Baby Girl's Halloween Musts
You must have a princess costume. Complete with jewels, high heels, and a fabulous dress!
You must have a pumpkin carved to look like your fave cartoon character!
You must help your mom make and eat sugar cookies!
You must watch a movie to really bring on the "feeling" of the day!Yeah. They're watching "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer". You see, the other day Baby Girl was going bananas because she wanted it to be Christmas right NOW. I told her we had to have Little Bug's birthday (check) and then Halloween (check, check) and then we go to Grandma's house and then it's mommy's birthday and THEN Christmas. Well, since it's Halloween, she has officially crossed it off her list. This day will be a day of treats, but more importantly, it brings us one day closer to Christmas!

AND one day closer to going to Gramama's!! LOVE the pumpkins and wish I could help eat those sugar cookies! :o)
E has been asking me to get the Christmas videos out for the past two weeks! So far, I've resisted.
Her princess costume is darling.
I agree with Baby Girl, we watched Polar Express the other day while we were making Halloween cupcakes.
Your pumpkins turned out great. You are so creative.
I can't wait for Christmas either. Whoohoo!
No. That post most definitely was not directed at you. A friend e-mailed me and said the problem with a post like that is that people would assume it was about them which is why I took it down and transferred it to my other blog........I read a blog post off Segullah on Sunday wherein the author fantasized about a happy life without her 4 kids living in a nicely decorated condo in the city where it wouldn't get messed up by grubby kids, and she'd have a satisfying job, and spare money to spend. I stewed about this while I had to go out and work all night to feed my family.
Okay, some women whine and I don't know what their circumstances are. This lady, well, I know her family and I know they're wonderful people. Why she would choose to vent this on her blog instead of to them blew my mind and I decided I had had enough of the mini-pity parties circulating around here.
Regardless of your issues you just don't write about how you think often of making different choices in life that do not include motherhood after the fact of having kids. What if someone tells her children that??!!?
Between you and me though, I can think of a couple other ladies that need some serious perspective visited upon them.......
I'm so over the blogging experience right now it isn't even funny.
And Dora pumpkins make me shudder with fear.....especially if they're talking Dora pumpkins that repeat in a nasally and shrill voice, "Pumpkin, Pumpkin!"
Does your daughter work at my Walmart? Cause I'm pretty sure she or someone like her set up the Christmas displays last September. And I'd like to have a word with them...
We've been watching Christmas movies since July! Anything to entertain the kids and give me a few minutes peace!
Cute, cute and cute. Looks like a wonderful Halloween!
makes sense to me... bring on christmas! oh wait, mommy has to celebrate her birthday first. you'll let us know when that is, right?
I love this part of being a mom. Since small children obviously don't yet undertand the concept of time, I think it's so much fun to explain the waiting game through significant dates. Somehow, that always works!
Loving that they are watching Rudolph! My husband normally begins listening to Christmas music promptly on November 1st, but this year he decided that he would start a day early! So yeah, we were listening to MoTab Christmas tunes on Halloween. Somehow, the two just don't match up!
the cutest thing? baby girl is wearing her backback while watching
Your sugar cookies are the coolest! Rudolph is just funny, tee hee! :D
You are amazing, Melissa--how do you get it all done!!! I'm with baby girl--I want it to be Christmas, too!!!
