Toothless Goomer
Little Bug has finally lost a few teeth! We weren't sure how he would react when they fell out. He's had 4 loose teeth for a long time, but he wouldn't let anyone touch them. Then, one night when Hubby was helping him brush his teeth, one of the ones on the bottom popped out. Little Bug grabbed it and promptly tried to place the tooth back into it's proper position. When that failed, he handed me the tooth and opened up so that I could put it back. It took him a few moments to realize that it was out for good. Two days ago he lost two more teeth - another one from the bottom and one from the top. But we can't find the teeth. He has hidden them away somewhere and we will probably never find them.
His other top front tooth is really loose and should fall out any time. I have been trying to get a photo of him, but every time I pull the camera out he runs for cover...

So, I have a bunch of pictures that look like this...But, finally, after much persistence and giggles, I got a couple of shots!

If he keeps loosing teeth at this rate, we may have to look into dentures till the new ones can grow in!

  8. Yeah, what Kimberly said. My 9 year old daughter finally got her front teeth in after a year of waiting. They're turned inwards and goofy looking. We call them her 'Pigeon-Toed Teeth.'

  9. My 6 year old (nearly 7) hasn't lost any teeth yet and he doesn't even have any loose. He's the camera hog, though so I know when the time comes he'll put on an exaggerated toothless picture shoot for me.

Little Bug is cute in his non-toothiness!

  12. Melissa, he is an absolute doll! I love how his whole face lights up when he smiles! P.S. On my blog... do you know how I can make that picture and header a little smaller?! I couldn't figure out the part in the HTML to adjust! Oh... and I tried those rag curls this week... total disaster! The girls looked like poof balls! They were way cuter when the rags were in their hair! I'll have to try again after my confidence gets a little stronger!

  14. Maybe he's saving them up and is making a special tooth-necklace for you to wear out on the town.

Maybe he's shrinking some heads, too, and making you some necklaces out of those.
