Photo Shoot 2008
The wonderful and ever-clever Elastic held a Great Sox Exchange this year. I was one of the lucky participants. I hunted down sox with glee and sent them to my exchange buddy. In return, I got these lovely new friends and we just HAD to do a photo shoot!
These are my Converse sox
They were kind of timid...

And in the end were so shy we had to end the photo shoot.
The cow sox on the other hand? Well, they were rather exuberant! It actually got a tad annoying after awhile...
... showoffs...
I do love my new sox! They make me feel all happy and warm inside! Thanks Lola!

Side note #1: Yvonne always does these really cool side notes on her blog and I'm STEALING the idea! BWAHAHAHA!!
Side note #2: ;) A good friend called yesterday and said, "Hey! We want to come visit for the weekend, is that okay?" I think I said something really eloquent like, "HECK YEAH!!" And excitement filled my heart... until I looked at my house. Then I said something extremely eloquent like, "Oh crap." And so, I will be doing laundry, scrubbing floors, wiping down counters, dusting and general cleaning of everything and everywhere. I won't be present in blogland till Sunday or Monday after our awesome company heads back home.
I hope y'all have a wonderful weekend!

  7. Bloggy friend Suzanne just e-mailed.....guess what she got today......yes....CONVERSE SOCKS!!!

Oh my gosh, we should organize a sox swap convention and meet in person. After all we all already own the same pair of socks. :)

  8. I was telling my sox buddy, Tracy that I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to host a Christmas ornament exchange this November. It'll be interesting to see what we all come up with.

1/3 of the exchange participants are NO MO's. We all live in different parts of the country. We're of varying ages. And yet roughly half of us picked out the same pair of socks?!!!?? Weird.

  9. You can't slaughter cow socks to throw on the BBQ and feed your guests but if they continue to braggartly step out of line you can always threaten to use them as a dust rag!

  10. Those socks are just adorable. What a great idea to have an exchange. I need someone to visit for a week so I can get motivated for the scrubdown my house really needs. Any takers? LOL

  12. Those are some foxy sox you have there. Hooray!

And good luck with all the cleaning--but it will be worth it.

Won't it? Great company is worth the scrubbings and bubblings?

  13. And WHERE do you get a pair of Converse socks? How is it that most of these bloggin' ladies know where to get cool socks, and I am clueless?

(And there is my reason for not participating in the swap: who would want a pair of plain white socks from wynne? boo. I don't know where to get cow socks.)

  14. LOVE the sox and last-minute visitors. Have a blast!

  15. Love the socks! I think that I would have a hard time with the converse ones because I've got big calves. But big calves are fine with cow socks.

As an aside: at least you don't need to have your carpet cleaned. It looks great.

  16. Guess what!! I was your sock buddy. I am sorry I was a loser and didn't include a card. But Lola is my friend and I know you had her. FUNNY anyway glad you loved the socks. I had a great time picking them out. Jenny

  19. The turquoise socks are my favorite. It's hard to spell turquoise when up this late with a baby.

I clean my house much better for company than for my family. It's a two-edged knife.
