Template Tampering
I'm loving messing around with the template on here. I've figured out how to make my own banners and change the background. I know there are a lot of people that don't like to mess with the template, but I'm having a ball! I still have a lot to learn... but it's fun. So, when I change things around, tell me what you think! I love to hear it... even if it's bad. I want to know. For example - I don't like my template right now. But, I think I'll leave it up till school starts... unless I can find something that I like better for "Back to School". Till then, it's this one. I really like the next header I have planned... so, do you mess around with your template? Or have you got it exactly the way you like it? Why mess with perfection? ;)
Mine is not the way I would like, but I don't know how to do much with it. Hopefully one day I'll figure it out and be happy with how it looks.
ReplyDeleteI mess with it, but I'm only in blogger 1st grade.
ReplyDeleteYou *could* share information with us, you know.
Like how you got that fancy banner.;)
I looove changing my template, but like Carrot, I only know the basics.
ReplyDeleteTeach us, oh wise one!
OH NO!! Y'all have misunderstood! I am no template wizard... just messin around till I like it!
ReplyDeleteCarrot - I make my banners in a photo program that I have. There are a lot of websites that have free digital scrapbooking papers. I download the papers and then use them to create my banner. Then I upload the papers that I want for my background to a photobucket account. Then change the html - but I think you already know how to do that! :)
kimberly - I always love your templates... do you do them yourself? If so, you know TONS more than I do! I just go in and adjust numbers and look at the HTML for different skins and then I try inserting it in my blog to see what happens. That's the nice thing about blogger... when you mess with the HTML it has a "preview" button. You don't have to save the changes till it's just right!
I wish I was more motivated to make mine cute. It really needs help. I do love this template- even if you don't.
ReplyDeleteI know nothing about how to change anything around so It stays like it is
ReplyDeletehi mel: i like leaving my the way it is. i am used to it and content.
ReplyDeletethanks for the nice note earlier,
kathleen
i wish i knew more about coding and graphic programs. i have been teaching myself and can do some. i just don't like the little bit i can do. i want to change my current layout so i keep working at it.
ReplyDeletep.s. i like yours
I don't know nothing about nothing....except how to make friends with really nice blog people like Omar Phillips who customized my blog for me for free.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I like Annie's blog template right now. The jewel toned paisley design is just perfect for Fall. I've always loved Paisley. But not enough to name a kid that. What is up with all the people naming their child Paisley? What's next? Plaid? Argyle? Ditsy?
I think it's a cute template too. I'll be excited to see what the new header is too!
ReplyDeleteheather - it's another creative outlet for me. I like desiging and messing around with the banners. :)
ReplyDeletejean knee - I'm just starting to learn. It's been a bit of a struggle, but things are starting to fit together...
kathleen - I guess I'm just not content! I love to see the changes in my template :)
diana - I wish I knew more coding too. I usually just go and mess around with things till I find something I like...
elastic - it must be good to have such talented friends :)
I too love the paisley look. But not enough to name a child after it. Actually, one of my banners that will probably debut this fall has some paisley in it...
tharker - I like to keep you guys on your toes... so I have to change things up every so often ;)
I love this one too! I haven't been motivated to change mine around, or maybe I just don't have enough time!!! Until October that is.......
