I read them before I would let my 5th grader read them because I was worried about the "hero" of the book being a criminal mastermind, but they were really good and now we have all of them. When a new one comes out my son and I (he's 13 now) fight over who reads it first. He also liked the simplified versions of the Star Wars movies (bought those from scholastic book order a long time ago!)
Love reading your blog (and I love that you always have something new up to check out!)
~Christy (www.wanlass6az.blogspot.com)Christyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03624962654835476292noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37312462.post-86613093110356569722008-03-06T18:25:00.000-08:002008-03-06T18:25:00.000-08:00My oldest daughter LOVES Artemis Fowl. I think there are more than one, now. There is also a series called The Sisters Grimm, about fairy-tale detectives, which is delightful. Spiderwick Chronicles are selling well right now, and I also liked the two Fablehaven books by Brandon Mull (LDS author, for general audience.)Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12809081257616119677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37312462.post-39323134980691633422008-03-03T09:09:00.000-08:002008-03-03T09:09:00.000-08:00I haven't read this.
